In it you will experience the explosive joy of European character dances, take a journey through an enchanted forest, meet characters from classical ballets and see demonstrations of the training that informs the art of ballet storytelling. Our program includes an excerpt from The Little Humpback Horse (The Under the Sea scene), variations from Don Quixote, Paquita, The Talisman, Sleeping Beauty, Fairy Doll, Sylvia and more, as well as lively folk-inspired Russian, Moldavian and Italian; Tarentella, Neapolitan (character) dances. Готовились мало (лишь полтора месяца), а костюмы получили за два дня до соревнования... Фотографии сняты в студии во время "Pre Competition" за неделю до соревнования,на них дети в репетиционных пачках... Ниже текст и линк на ФБ... Мы в рекордно короткий срок подготовили с детьми по два номера: первую в жизни, для большинства из них, классическую сольную вариацию и первый современный номер. Со всем этим впервые на сцене и это не просто выступление, а соревнование. Ну и соревнование тоже первое - не только для них, но и для школы. Костюмы прибыли лишь за два дня до соревнования, так что премьера была полнейшей:)) Дети очень волновались, оказавшись в такой сложной и ответственной ситуации впервые... Но выступили успешно, некоторые даже лучше чем в зале на репетиции. Три девочки - вошли в лучшие двенадцать, одна вошла в финал в который будет проходить в Нью-Йорке. Все были отобраны для участия в YAGP Intensive NY. In the tradition of offering our students and ballet students of the surrounding communities a high quality uniquely diversified, cross cultural ballet dance education, Inna Bayer has invited Ivan Goliandin to teach workshops and Master classes at Bayer Ballet Academy. IVAN GOLIANDINGraduated with Honors as a teacher/choreographer from the Moscow Ballet Academy (Boshoi Ballet Academy) in Moscow, Russia. After dancing professionally for many years internationally. He continues his education and received a Diploma of higher education with a specialization, in Classical, Character, Pas de deux and Ballet Repertoire teaching for all ages and levels. Goliandin’s experiences as a professional dancer and Master Teacher has both educated and inspired young dancers in Italy for years. We now have the opportunity to take advantage of his vast knowledge and experience. Reston’s Keenan Kampa to join Mariinksy Ballet
Keenan Kampa, a member of the Boston Ballet who grew up in Reston, is joining the Mariinsky Ballet. The esteemed Russian company is expected to announce her appointment during its appearances at the Kennedy Center this week.  (Gene Schiavone) - Keenan Kampa, a member of the Boston Ballet, joins the Mariinsky company in St. Petersburg in June.Kampa, 22, was the first American to receive the Russian diploma from the Vaganova Ballet Academy. The 274-year-old school has trained many notables in the classical ballet world, including George Balanchine, Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Natalia Makarova. Ученики и учителя и родители поработали н славу:) Кроме того в этом году мы впервые продали все билеты до единого на оба спектакля.
